Communications Executive (Part-Time)

Role Overview:
This position is Part-Time with a requirement to complete 22.5 hours per week.
The successful candidate will provide first class support and assistance to the Mediterranean Area of the company and ensure that all communication on behalf of the organisation is of an appropriate high standard and consistent with the internal communications agenda.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible to provide responses to enquiries for information via a variety of media such as telephone, letter, email and social media and keep and maintain records of correspondence up-to-date.
- Develop together with the HO External Relations team marketing/communications plans around key events/opportunities within MA countries and advise on MA strategy.
- Liaise with Area management to ensure we maximise PR potential.
- Liaise with HO External Relations and advise on strategy and way forward within MA.
- Providing support in the production of PR material across MA, including the provision of media material, leaflets and displays.
- Liaise with other colleagues in MA to maintain stock levels of marketing/branding material in all the MA offices where appropriate.
- Be aware at all times of the potential of media and social media, draw on relevant colleagues for support and encourage it’s use whilst ensuring adherence to central policy.
- Build up and manage the MA twitter account and ensure that regular content is posted to promote and highlight the Area’s work.
- Manage the Area’s social media activity in cooperation with HO Social Media Manager.
- Be the Area point of contact on the production and delivery of Visitor Information Panels.
- Liaise with local authorities and embassies in the organisation of ceremonies within MA.
- Support the DMA in developing strong relationships with key stakeholders and develop and maintain a matrix of these stakeholders.
- To provide marketing activity guidance and support to all MA countries.
- 3 years+ experience in a Communications role is essential.
- IT literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, English. Greek and Italian are desirable.
- Demonstrate creative flair and genuine interest in design.
- Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms.
- Ability to convey and complete tasks and information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent attention to detail and able to prioritise workload.
- Clear and polite telephone manner.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels within the organisation and externally.
- Takes initiative and responsibility for finding resolutions and resolving problems and issues.
- Undertake and contribute constructively to regular team meetings.
- Have a flexible attitude to cover other team members and adapt to change.
- Can juggle their workload and keep calm under pressure.
- Undertake travel outside of Cyprus as required.
- Holder of a clean driving licence.
